Lifelike Aesthetics

DRAMATIC COSMETIC ENHANCEMENT

Porcelain veneers are one of the most natural-looking ways to conceal minor to moderate dental flaws. A veneer is a thin porcelain shell that we attach to the front surface of your tooth. The restorations are custom-designed to match the aesthetics of your natural teeth, and the results can drastically transform the beauty of your smile.

The Advantages of Veneers

Fast

Dental veneers are quick compared to alternative forms of cosmetic dentistry. In fact, patients often complete their treatment in as few as two appointments at our Foothill Dental practice

Easy

The procedure is relatively simple, requiring impressions and some minor prep work. Most patients find the treatment to be completely painless and do not need any time to recover.

Durable

The ultra-thin veneer is remarkably strong and can last 10 years or more if cared for properly. Porcelain is also stain-resistant, looking just as beautiful years down the road as it does on day one.

What to Expect During the Procedure

1

Anesthesia

Local anesthesia will be administered to keep you comfortable throughout your procedure.

2

Incisions

One of our dentists will make incisions in your gums at the site of each wisdom tooth to allow for better access.

3

Extraction

Each impacted tooth will be gently extracted. They may be divided into smaller pieces to allow for a smoother extraction.

4

Sutures

After each wisdom tooth has been removed, the incisions in your gums will be sutured closed.

5

Gauze

Gauze will be placed at the removal sites to minimize bleeding.

1

Consultation

You will first attend a consultation appointment at our Foothill Dental practice to talk about what you want from cosmetic dentistry. Your dentist will examine your teeth and make sure veneers are a good fit for your needs. If you are a good candidate, we will help you select which teeth to treat and plan out the custom aspects of your dental veneers.

3

Design

After your teeth are reshaped, we take detailed impressions of your smile to design the porcelain veneers. We take into account the color, shape, size, and positioning of your natural teeth to create the most authentic-looking restorations. The impressions and designs are then sent to our trusted dental lab for production.

2

Tooth Prep

To prepare your teeth for the veneers, we will carefully remove a small layer of enamel and make slight adjustments to the contours of the tooth. Our dentists aim to make treatment as conservative as possible, removing the smallest amount of enamel to achieve the ideal results.

4

Placement

Your porcelain veneers will be ready in about two weeks, and you can return to the office at that time for placement. We gently etch the surface of the tooth to increase the surface area and strengthen the bond. After making any last-minute adjustments to the veneer, it is bonded to the enamel with dental cement and cured under a special light.

Foothill dental is by far the best dental office I have been too. I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled and they were great . I'm going back in 2 weeks for more dental work and I know they will take great care of me. The doctor was amazing and so was his assistant.

Are Veneers Right For Me?

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS & LONG-TERM MAINTENANCE

The best candidates for porcelain veneers:

  • Have healthy teeth and gums
  • Are comfortable with the fact that the prepped teeth will always need some type of restoration
  • Are willing to maintain excellent oral hygiene

Caring for your veneers is easy, much like caring for your natural teeth. Practice good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing daily, and attend your six-month checkups. Meanwhile, be careful not to bite down on anything that is excessively hard or sticky.
